It's Holi-DAY not Holi-MONTH

I recently heard a business connection of mine say it's "holi-DAY" not "holi-MONTH" and that stuck with me. How many of us are already tapped out?

I get it! The end of the year makes you feel like it's the end. Like, "what's the point in making moves - I will just move it to next year." "I will just have a fresh start then." But, I would take a different approach. See life more as a continuation than a start and end. If you know your purpose then you know that December 25th, December 31st, December 22nd-December 30th or whatever holiday you celebrate has little to do with the other days you're fully capable of achieving your goals.

So how can you let the holidays not stand in your way?

Fill your calendar up and don't let up! In other words, don't give in to the mood of putting things aside and allowing for meetings to be "rescheduled after the new year." Hold firm to the calendar.

Set deadlines within the month - whether for yourself or for the team. This keeps you and others engaged.

Mix & Mingle - go to holiday parties and networking events so you're still making meaningful connections and building up your pipeline.

Listen to podcasts and interviews connected to your industry so you're filling your think tank with innovation ideas and strategies.

All in all, you can enjoy the holiday but not let your goals fall to waist side with so much time in December to make moves!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
